What is a duplicate transmission error?
Generally, this is a transmission issue. Occasionally during transmission there can be a miscommunication between the IRS and the e-file provider causing a return to be transmitted more than one time.
You may also get this error if you have submitted more than one return either with the same website or two different websites in the same day.
