Believe it or not you can use a wireless headsets with Vodavi Starplus phones (2500, 2554, 2803, 4500, Digital, EX, STS, STSe, and Triad). The trick is knowing which accessories are appropriate for your Vodavi phone. Below are specific notes for various Vodavi phones and the accessories required to connect a wireless headset. Wireless headsets come with a base station that interfaces with the telephone and your handset. The base station allows you to use the wireless headset or the handset as needed.  You'll find several popular wireless headsets that are recommended below.

Remote Answering with a Wireless Headset

Like most people in the office the goal of using a wireless headset is to roam around the office untethered and be able to answer calls from the headset.  In order to be able to accomplish this you will need the Remote Lifter. For Starplus 2500 and Starplus 2554 phones the Remote Lifter will not work due to the phone's configuration but all other Vodavi Starplus phones the Remote Lifter is the key to answering calls from the wireless headset. The video below demonstrates how the Remote Lifter is used with a telephone.  

NOTES:

1) 2700, 2800, 4500, Digital, EX, Triad: If you want to roam around the office with your headset you will need the "remote lifter" accessory.  This accessories allows you to pickup/hangup directly from the headset. If you do not purchase the "remote lifter" the headset will still work but you will need to manually pickup calls at the telephone prior to using the headset.  The Jabra remote lifter is the GN1000 and the Plantronics remote lifter is the HL-10.  

2) Starplus STS, STSe: If you elect not to get the Remote Lifter you will need the 2.5mm cable kit connector to connect the wireless headset to your phone and use the headset button (on the phone) for answering calls.
