I am getting the following error while installing LiveHelpNow: The installer was interrupted before LiveHelpNow could be installed. You need to restart the installer to try again.

Issue:  error while installing LiveHelpNow Alerter "The installer was interrupted before LiveHelpNow could be installed. You need to restart the installer to try again." 

Resolution: 

  1. Make sure you have necessary permissions to install software on your PC.
  2. Try re-installing .NET Framework 4.0 on your PC: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=17851
  3. Ensure that the folder where the Microsoft .NET Framework writes temporary application service provider (ASP) files has the proper permissions for the Windows® Service Account responsible for the LiveHelpNow Alerter.
