What to bring to testing center

What do I bring with me if I am taking a test? What am I allowed to have with me in the testing center?

    • Bring any correspondence (email, snail mail, Internet forms, etc.) from the testing company.  These often contain passwords or other information that we need for the test. Bring IDs that are acceptable for the test.  Some tests ask for only one ID, but many ask for two.  One government-issued photo ID such as a driver’s license, military ID, or passport is almost always required.  If a second ID is required, it usually needs to be one with a signature.   According to the rules of the specific test, we provide different testing aids. This usually consists of scrap paper, pencils, and/or erasable note boards as well as noise-reducing headphones.  We never allow cellphones and we ask testers to remove hats unless the headwear is worn for religious purposes.  Also, food and drinks are not allowed in the testing area (not even water) because of the computers. We have small lockers available and you may lock up purses, jackets, hats, phones, etc.   The way this works is that the tester locks up their belongings and then keeps the key with them during the test.

    • You can speak to someone in the testing center by calling 540-767-6009.
